Services and Programmes

All service users will be given a package of activities designed to reflect their own tastes, interests, needs and abilities. Activity programmes aim to build on existing skills but also develop new ones with the aim of advancing each service user’s personal development. We work diligently to ensure that service users have access to all recreational and educational facilities and have a care team experienced in supervising many leisure activities themselves.

There are a range of local amenities that are easily accessible to service users which include, leisure centres, swimming pools, shops, cafes, beaches, parks, etc

Recreational Activities include:

• Arts and Crafts

• Cooking (all service users are encouraged to participate in preparing their own meals)
• Drama and Theatre
• Gardening
• Life Skills
• Music
• Personal Care
• Sports (including swimming, football, gym)

Community Services

Homestyle Care will actively source community education/employment activities, as required, for all service users and to motivate them to access education and training with one of the many local education providers. Homestyle Care will look for courses that aim to provide a basic level of education together with the development of desirable life skills. Courses may be full or part-time and flexibility is deemed essential to ensure that the service user obtains maximum benefit from courses
